Connecting your ConEd account

To participate in Responsible Grid, you’ll need to connect your Con Edison utility account.

We use UtilityAPI to securely track your energy usage and earnings during the pilot program. Please have your Con Edison login credentials (email and password) ready to make the process quick and easy.

There are several ways to link your ConEd account with Responsible Grid:

  • You may have received a direct invitation via email/text message with further instructions.
  • You may also connect via our webpage via this link:

Step-by-step instructions:

1. Enter Your ConEd Login Information

Provide your contact email for Responsible Grid along with your Con Edison account email and password. If you received a request from us, your contact email should be auto-filled. To retrieve or reset your ConEd credentials, click the underlined links within the “Your Consolidated Edison New York account details” form section.

Responsible Grid uses UtilityAPI, an approved data service under the U.S. Department of Energy’s DataGuard Energy Data Privacy initiative, ensuring your data remains safe and secure.

By default, your connection is authorized for 1 year, covering the full pilot duration.
