How does the Responsible Grid Pilot work?

Program Overview: We're excited to invite you to join our pilot program designed to help New York residents like reduce summer electricity costs while making a positive impact on climate change. Your participation will help us expand the Responsible Grid initiative to more New Yorkers.

How it works: We provide a battery power station that connects to your window / portable air conditioning units, helping you reduce electricity usage during peak times (May to September) and earn rewards from ConEdison's demand response program.
Benefits: It's free to participate and you'll receive a payment of approximately $100 per A/C unit dependent on usage, in the form of a one-time Amazon gift card.
Equipment: We use certified, commercially available batteries (details here) with minimal modifications to ensure safety and reliability.
What to expect: The equipment will be delivered to your home and picked up at the end of pilot period. After initial WiFi connection, the battery device will be monitored remotely through our secure backend system; no additional work required from you!
